MARC KARELL, P.E., CEM, EBCP, is the Principal of Climate Change & Environmental Services.
Marc has over 30 years of experience in consulting, working in the areas of energy, sustainability, and air quality. Working nationally for Fortune 500 companies, small firms and municipalities, Marc performs greenhouse gas emission inventories, energy audits, green building evaluations, toxic air emission inventories, strategic assessments to reduce emissions effectively and economically, and has negotiated with regulatory agencies concerning environmental issues.
Marc is an Adjunct Professor at New York Medical College, teaching an advanced graduate level course in air pollution. He lectures regularly at Fordham University’s Business School on Sustainability and Energy issues. He serves on the board of advisors of the periodical Chemical Engineering Progress, and has numerous publications to his credit.
Marc holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University, a master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from New York University. He is also a licensed professional engineer, a Certified Energy Manager, and a Certified Existing Building Commissioning Professional.
Marc is personally responsible for the technical and overall success of every CCES project. As necessary, Marc brings into projects a wide variety of Expert Associates, with specialties that will bring the most knowledge and benefit to the building owner or company.
